Mann Ke Moti
Review 5th
There is a gleaming brainpower and strategic counter-play in Mann Ke Moti that will certainly benefit you with some tasteful satire dotted all over. To my greatest surprise its ironies are not portrayed in an overly melodramatic style.

Episode five started with Nasreen articulating Fariha to get out of this house for she does not wants to take her responsibility anymore and is afraid of any would-be disaster (out of nowhere yeh bdgumanyan kyun paalti hein Nasreen sahiba I failed to get). Can anybody please go and tell her to at least ponder upon her terrible behavior having “tasbeeh” in her hands all the time. Fariha as expected got shocked and tried her best to manage with the situation by taking all the responsibility of her children and her in laws but left unsuccessful! We also came to know about Fariha’s background that she only has a Mamu in the name of family but he was also not in condition to support her financially or socially thus left her on saasu Maa’s rehm o karam.
Nasreen used cheap ways to get Fariha out of her house and at last literally dhakky maar k ghar sy nikaal dia. That was certainly most heart wrenching scene of Mann Ke Moti till now. Thank God Maulvi Sahab came as her benefactor and helped in resolving the matter in positive way. Moving on, I hated Zara for her extreme selfish behavior with innocent children and Fariha. The girl playing Zara’s role really deserve a pat on shoulder..Going really strong! Maham on the other hand is the character being portrayed so adequately and keeps constructive energy around her always supporting the righteous and has tendency to go against evil, this is what makes her very much affirmative.
Speaking of kids, Zuhab is the heart of this serial I must say again. The way they have executed their characters and the chemistry they’ve been shown is just superb! Deep down his heart Zuhab knows that he is the only male left in family now and he has to take bold steps to save his family no matter how much hurdles comes in between. Now that daadi has revealed her another color they are very much insecure about their future and about their mother as well.
handNadeem Siddique’s directorship is highly powerful and pointed with the company of strong script of Kifayat Rodani. No doubt plot is authentic going with perfect pace and giving understandable idea about each spirit of play. Camera angles were spot on and symbolic especially Fariha’s hand getting away of family picture symbolizing her being getting away from this house in general and her children in particular. Maulvi Sahab’s dialogue“Insaanon k sath lakhon majburyaan hein aur aurat zaat k sath tou beshumar hein” was brilliant. That joke scene between Fariha and children was first-class :) Thought of the day was “agar achy din nhe rahy tou bury bhi nhe rahengy”
Farhan Sahab has made the proposal on his condition that Fariha won’t be allowed to take her children with her and that’s what shocked Fariha. After watching preview of episode six we are left with the question that will she be able to make her children realize that she has taken right decision of marrying Farhan Sahab? Will kids accept it and how?
